We have a maximum of 15 per class. In grade 8 the emphasis in on developing the ability to think critically about a range of global issues and they complete their checkpoint 3 in English, Mathematics and Science. In grade 9 and 10 students complete the international General Certificate in Secondary Education (IGCSE). This is a stand-alone qualification and the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16-year olds. The IGCSE program is taken over two years. At the end of the 2 years, the students are able to write their IGCSE subjects. The AS levels is a two (2) year program offered to 16 – 18-year olds. There is a selection of subjects to select from. The syllabi develop a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills. Six AS subjects are recommended over 2 years form students who to pursue studies in South Africa, Canada and USA. Java is the language program taught in the IGCSE and AS level Computer Science. A level is year 13 and is offered as a post-matric course. Three A Level subjects are taken by students who want to pursue a studies in UK, Europe and Australia (some Australian universities are taking AS only as well). These school leaving examinations are set and marked by the University of Cambridge. Great emphasis is placed on the acquisition of skills, application of knowledge and the development of the student’s thinking skills. This opens doors for every student. You are taught to ‘think out of the box’ with this education system. They are taught to become self-disciplined and self-motivated learners. This unique curriculum teaches learners to become confident, responsible and well-adjusted learners. Cambridge is known world-wide for the excellent education they deliver and prepares the students for their future studies and the workplace.

The Cambridge curriculum allows for a student to become independent of mind, improve critical thinking skills and the confidence to confront challenges. We also have social outreach projects including supporting local children’s homes and animal shelters, winter blanket drives. This creates compassion, humility and gentleness amongst our learners. The students are assessed on a regular basis.

The students also participate in the President’s Award. The four components are sport, community service, skills and an expedition. This offers the students the opportunity to develop their character, discover their purpose and determine their futures. The President’s Award (Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award) is widely acknowledged by employers and scholarship adjudicators. This award proves that learners have gone beyond the minimum in preparing themselves for work and further learning.
